Stormwater Management

Between an increase in water to disturbing soil or removing vegetation, water is prone to accessing these new, unprotected soil surfaces – the sediment will then need to go somewhere, and that ends up being U.S. waterways. This sediment-mixed water is known as “stormwater” and has been a growing issue for many sites. Stormwater can carry pesticides, chemicals, and more to our water sources, then affecting drinking water, public beaches, swimming areas and aquatic habitats. Failure to meet the required compliance standards can and typically result in fines.  From 2008 to 2010 there has been over $20,000,000 in Clean Water Act Violations and stormwater non-compliance alone.
